Administrative Assistant
JOB SUMMARY

A respected academic institution is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide a variety of support in their disability services area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact & key resource at front desk reception assisting visitors to the office and responding to phone calls & emails in a warm & inclusive manner
- Maintain confidential files & utilizing databases to ensure they are organized, complete and accurate
- Schedule appointments, meetings, programming, and activities for staff
- Assist daily with in support of student testing
- Provide administrative assistance, including approving, processing, tracking, and reconciling requests in Workday
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree desirable
- At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in higher ed or similar field
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office with the ability to learn new applications
- Familiarity with Workday helpful
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Strong judgment, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
The Administrative Assistant role is a full-time contract position (for the month of January with the possibility of extension) onsite in Amherst. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.
